Manufacturing defects can include a broken clasp, missing stones (under 0.50 carat), loose diamonds and/or broken prongs. This does not include general wear and tear, scratching, stretched chains or rings, lost jewelry or jewelry damaged due to improper care, cleaning, wear or storage. Any alteration by a third-party or outside jeweler will void this warranty.


Our commitment to quality ensures that your jewelry is meticulously crafted and free from any manufacturing defects. In the unlikely event that you notice a defect in your ring, we encourage you to return it to us for a thorough inspection. We will promptly assess the issue and proceed to repair or replace the ring as necessary, ensuring your utmost satisfaction.

Manufacturing defects encompass various issues, such as missing stones (stones under .50 carat) and loose prongs. If, during the inspection, we determine that the problem falls within the scope of a manufacturing defect, we will take care of the repairs or replacement without any additional cost to you. However, should we find that the observed issue is not classified as a manufacturing defect, we will communicate this to you transparently. In such cases, we will provide you with a clear estimate of the repair cost before commencing any work, allowing you to make an informed decision regarding the necessary steps to address the problem.

This warranty does not apply to the replacement of a center stone, or any stone larger than 0.50 carat. Manufacturing defects do not include general wear and tear, scratching, and discoloration due to contact with harsh chemicals, warped  or modified rings or lost rings/center stones. Any alteration by a third-party or outside jeweler will void this warranty.

To ensure eligibility for the warranty, please adhere to the following conditions:

  1. It is important to handle the ring and/or diamond with care and avoid subjecting it to excessive force or detrimental conditions.
  2. Proper storage and correct handling of the ring are necessary. Any ring that has been mistreated, modified, or cleaned incorrectly will not be eligible for return.
  3. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser of the ring, as it is not transferable.

At HauteCarat, we take pride in our products and offer a lifetime warranty on all our diamonds. We are confident in the accuracy of our listed grading and stand by the quality of our merchandise. However, in the rare event that a diamond fails to meet or surpass the promised characteristics stated on our Certificate, we provide you with the following options:

  1. A full refund of the purchase price upon return of the diamond and/or jewelry.
  2. Replacement of the diamond with another one that meets or exceeds the characteristics specified on the Certificate.

For the warranty to be applicable, it is essential that diamonds are graded as loose stones and not after being set in engagement rings. The grading process must be conducted by a reputable GIA or IGI facility, as their expertise ensures the relevance and reliability of the grading.

In the event that you need to make a claim under this warranty, please contact concierge@hautecarat.com so we can arrange for return of the product and: 

  1. Inspect the diamond and review any gemological evaluation upon which your claim is based.
  2. Make sincere efforts to resolve your claim in an amicable manner.

In order to avail yourself of this warranty, it is important to ensure that the diamonds are not subjected to undue force or harmful conditions. The warranty does not cover products that have been stored or handled incorrectly, mistreated, modified, or cleaned with improper products. Additionally, normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, and consequential or incidental damages as provided or allowed by United States law are not covered by the warranty. The warranties are intended solely for the benefit of the original purchaser and are non-transferable.
